Everybody reads YA Sunday-Sister Sleuths and The Shadowman

Hi everybody! Happy Everybody reads YA Sunday. Today I'm sharing another portion of my YA mystery novel Sister Sleuths and the Shadowman.

Blurb:
Sandy and Samantha may be twins, but sharing the same birthday is where their similarities end. It seems like the girls will never find common ground, until they stumble upon another set of siblings hiding secrets, lies, and shadows of the past.

Excerpt:
"Look at his picture, The guy looks like a possessed Danny Zuko." Jeremy points to a page with the boy and the girl holding hands. The girl's face is turned so she can't see his wicked expression. In the background the shaded figure of another boy leans against a tree.
I get an uneasy feeling. "It's him alright."

Everybody reads YA Sunday- Sister Sleuths and The Wailing Darkness

Happy Everybody reads YA Sunday!

I just got back from vacation. In Cancun. And I still found time to read, Because sometimes a book is so exciting you just can't put it down. That's what people are saying about Sister Sleuths and the Wailing Darkness,

Blurb: Samantha and Sandy are twins with very different outlooks on life. Sandy a neurotypical teen who stresses over boyfriends and wearing the right clothes. Her sister Samantha is on the spectrum which comes with it's own set of everyday challenges, on top of that, she seems to have a knack for sensing supernatural occurrences. Together they try to unravel the mystery of a death foretold  by a stalker Banshee.

Excerpt: “She came out of the fog like the devil in a dress. Her clothes were as black as crow feathers and her eyes… her eyes were red as hot coals. At first, I blamed the vision on the black stuff I’d been drinkin’ with the guys at the pub. But it was her screams that scared me the most. I held my hands over my ears, but it did no good. The sound burrowed inside my head and headed straight for my soul, and just like that, I knew someone close to me would die.”

Jeremy brushes a loose curl away from my face. I hear the ticking clock on the dining room wall. I feel the rise and fall of his chest, and hear his heartbeat, like a slow soothing drum. All of this calms me. Worry and stress fall far away. He turns his face toward mine, tilts my chin so we are just inches apart and kisses me. His kiss is soft as a whisper. I don’t open my eyes. If this is a dream, don’t let me wake up. His lips leave mine, he kisses my eyes and my nose and my mouth, again. This time open and full of passion.
“Kissing can spread germs and viruses.” Sam’s loud voice makes me jump. “If Jeremy has herpes, you could be catching it right now.” She’s standing right in front of us. I am horrified.
